In addition to the offerings in Lofer for sport and culture, you can take advantage of the many different facilities in the region.
Ski areas in the neighbouring resorts of Unken (the family ski area of Heutal) or Waidring (the Steinplatte ski area) are only around 15 minutes’ drive from your holiday apartment. The ski areas "home of Lässig" Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn and Hochkönig Ski-amadé can be reached easily by car.
If your preference is for cross-country skiing, the Saalachtal valley network of cross-country skiing trails, boasting approximately 200 km of piste, is your best option. There is also the Saalfelden Nordic Centre which is only about 20km away. An extensive network of cross-country skiing trails catering for all degrees of difficulty and snow-covered as well as floodlit cross-country skiing trails await you here.
There are toboggan runs (including illuminated ones) in practically every resort in the Pinzgau region. You can hire or buy sledges (for tobogganing) at the Sport Stockklauser sports shop in the resort at a discount of 10 %.
